Yes, yesterday Dubai's Emirates Airline announced a new daily flight from Dubai to Los Angeles, starting on September 1.

And they're doing it in full Dubai / Hollywood style. The new Boeing 777-200LR will feature eight luxurious private suites in First class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business, and room for 216 cattle passengers in Economy.

The 8339 mile flight from Dubai to LA will take 16 hours and 35 minutes, and the return (which is always shorter) will land in just under sixteen hours.

Wow. That's a haul.
