Lost logoSo I'm all for this Writers Guild strike, don't get me wrong, but the first time I heard it was a possibility I immediately thought, "Oh no! What about 'Lost'?!?"

See, season four is supposed to start in February and run sixteen episodes in a row without any repeats.

But last time the WGA struck (striked?) it lasted 22 weeks - which would take us into April ... totally messing up Lost (along with many other perfectly fine shows ... but mostly Lost).

I just saw that Executive Producer Carlton Cuse told Entertainment Weekly that ABC will have eight episodes written before the strike began, but the last half haven't been done yet.

Dangit!

OH man Dan has been contributing to the "underpaid" writers by watching lost on the internets!! On another note, I am putting together a team of scab writers to go to hollywood and take over the writing of everything, you in? I understand being paid fairly, but really..... strike....

The interesting case is Heroes. Before the strike they were re-shooting the Dec 17th (I believe)episode with an alternate ending, so that should the strike persist it will be the season finale. It was already going to be the end of one story line, to which they would open another and stop halfway for the season. Now they can just shut it down and show the repeats.

Doesn't beat Jon Stewart using his production company to pay all his employees though.

Had heard that about Jon Stewart. He's the man.

That's the only show that we actually buy from iTunes. Th rest, um, well, magically show up on our computer somehow ...

And the point of magically appearing movies and shows is my case as well. Noone gets paid for those and any additional overhead in the distribution of television shows will definately be passed onto us the consumer. Which I am sure will lead to an even higher number of magically appearing movies and TV shows. So what is really to gain by all of this striking? Josh and myself writing the new alternate ending to the december 17th episode of Heroes....but that's it.

Okay. It's gots to have lots of Peter Petrelli in it, though. I like saying Petrelli.

Petrelli.
Petrelli.
